0

Whole project from the beginning to the end was made by the company: INCARDesign.

1

BMW X6 originally had a smooth (without pattern) leather seats and door panels in beige. The company INCARDesign replaced beige leather on black. They used the original leather BMW Dakota Schwarz 7612. For better passengers’comfort – on the means of seats leather is perforated.

2

To obtain a better impression of the interior they used pattern Caro, that was sewn on a machine with double needle feed. For better emphasize the formula they used coarse thread. Everything was shaped with harder sponge once again.

For greater consistency with the rest of the components inside, including for example dashboard (which is now with two colors) – they finished new black seats and side doors by beige periphery. Those peripheries has been made of beige leather – original BMW Dakota Beige 7594. It fits perfectly with the rest of the original beige elements inside the car.

3

INCARDesign also changed wood slats. To endow some kind of sportiness character, they sealed slats with the model Carbon Monza 3D.

How does it work? We start with the distribution of elements on leather foam, remember to triturate with a sponge. Repeat the action untill we remove all dirt. Then with using a clean sponge, we have to put milk and tirturate across the surface. We have to wait a few minutes until milk will absorbed and fully dry. Milk (product of the WURTH company) leaves no greasy stains.

What if there are already creases or skin is stretched out, especially on seats? The easiest and the most effective way that we can recommend to you is to use hot air from a hair dryer or heat gun. From the distance 30 cm from the kneaded place, we are warming the skin up, and with hand we are granting the former shape. Please be careful to not too much heat through the skin, because it could lose the color! In case that creases are already very deep, and deformed sponge, it’s necessary to dismantle the armchair and to rebuild the damaged sponge.

Advices: Car Wash Damages Classic Car

A California man took his vintage 1974 Volkswagen Beetle to a drive thru car wash and left with a little less on the bumper.

czwartek 3

Juan Bermudez told CBS Sacramento he restored the classic car over the course of a few years. Needing to get it cleaned, he took the Bug to Quick Quack Car Wash. When he came out of the wash he found 38 deep scratches on his bumper.

The Quick Quack Car Wash in Citrus Heights, Calif. denied causing damage to the car, but refused to show Bermudez the surveillance tape of his car going through the wash.

While the car wash does have a disclaimer posted warning customers that the wash is only responsible for factory installed, secure and undamaged items on cars less than 5 years old, that does not release them from all liability.

 czwartek 2

Car washes are businesses, and like any other business they carry liability insurance in case damages occur. When you hand over property for an agreed upon service, it’s known as a bailment. During bailment, a car wash owes you ordinary care of your car while it is in their custody. If something goes wrong during this time, the car wash can still be liable.

czwartek damage

Carwash.com, an online magazine for professional car wash and detailing professionals, says that any claim that goes to court, frivolous or not, ends up costing the car wash owner time and money. It’s in the owner’s best interest to quickly settle such complaints. Thus, if you find yourself in a similar situation to that of Bermudez, make a formal complaint to the owner or manager. The issue should be quickly resolved since most car washes don’t want the bad publicity. If that doesn’t help, go to the corporate offices if the location is a franchise.

Bermudez eventually received a call from Quick Quack’s corporate offices admitting the wash did damage his car. They agreed to fix the bumper. It’s important to keep in mind that automatic car washes are dangerous for classic cars. If you need to clean an older car, a brushless car wash is your safest bet.

Advices: Five Tips For Restoring A Classic Car

Many people dream of buying an iconic classic car and returning it to its former glory. Whether you’re in high school or retired, the idea of a long-term restoration project can be romantic and exciting.

However, there are important factors to take into consideration when choosing the car that you will spend hundreds of hours and thousands of dollar restoring. If you’re thoughtful, the project can bring immense satisfaction. Conversely, carelessness can result in wasted money and crushing disappointment.

czwartek 17 gr

1. Choose a car that will retain value

There are an infinite number of old cars for sale that need restoration. Most of these cars aren’t worth much, and will never be valuable no matter how carefully they’re restored. Don’t impulsively settle on a particular model. Do some research to determine which models are more valuable once they’ve undergone restoration. A car with appreciation potential might cost more to buy, but it’s important to remember that the cost of the car is only a small component of the total project cost.

2. Be wary of rust

Depending on where the car you choose has spent its life, you may find the car’s chassis has been eaten away by rust. Rust damage is time consuming to repair, and requires replacement of steel body panels. If you buy a rust bucket, be prepared to strip the entire chassis, sand blast every inch of metal, cut off sections that cannot be repaired and weld new replacement sections. If you’re lucky, you can buy replacement panels from aftermarket manufacturers. If not, you will have to fabricate them from sheet metal. Rust repair certainly isn’t for everyone, so it’s important to know what you’re getting into.

czwarteczek 2

3. Find a car that starts

If you purchase a car that starts and runs, you significantly reduce the chances of expensive and time consuming mechanical repairs. Buying a non-running car that has been sitting for a decade can be a risky proposition. In the best-case scenario, you might need a new battery, starter or fuel pump. In the worst-case scenario, you may have a seized engine that will need to be rebuilt or replaced.

4. Ensure availability of replacement parts

A shortage of replacement parts can stop your project dead in its tracks. If you buy a car that is particularly scarce, there may not be aftermarket replacement parts available and used parts may be prohibitively expensive. To ensure your project goes smoothly and stays on budget, make sure replacement parts won’t be a major stumbling block.

5. Bring an expert

If you have a friend or acquaintance who knows about auto restoration, bring him or her along to look at a potential purchase. It’s a good idea to get feedback from someone with more experience in auto restoration, and choosing your car is the ideal place to start. Feedback from an expert with a critical eye can save you time and headache down the line.
